It's Elul, the month of giving! Rosh Hashanah should be a time of joy and family celebration. Unfortunately, increasingly, many elderly and lonely Jewish families still living in Johannesburg and many other areas do not get to experience this, as many of their children and grandchildren have emigrated or are unable to assist in a meaningful way.

We strive to bring a little joy into their lives at this time of year by providing them with food and other provisions necessary to celebrate Rosh Hashanah to the fullest.

This year we are also collecting clothing, blankets etc. for people living in abject circumstances and we hope to add something to their lives at this time of the year.

R180 provides one family with a food parcel for Rosh Hashanah
