Sgt. Tracy Hicks has been with the Houston Police Department (HPD) for twenty-five years, eleven years in Auto Theft. Prior to joining HPD, he was a US Army Apache Helicopter pilot for eleven years.
As you may already know, there’s been a recent rash of automobile break ins — many perpetrated upon unlocked vehicles.
Did you know that BMVs are a highly preventable crime but how can they be prevented? Did you know that theft of the vehicle itself is a gateway crime? Gateway to what? And what in world is a “jugger” and a “slider?
